Hi,
We are running Xenapp as our desktop environment where I work. For the past year or so some users have had various issues with printing PDFs.
Issue 1) They will click print in Adobe Reader, the print window will close and thats it, nothing happens, nothing is even generated by the print spooler.
Issue 2) They will print in Adobe Reader, and despite selecting the colour printer, it will print in B&W, the printer is set to full colour printing.
Issue 3) Adobe Reader asks them where they want to save the document instead of printing (they are not selecting a pdf printer), you can select a location and then Adobe Reader stops responding.
No issues encountered when using Google Chrome for printing, and no issues encountered when using Adobe Reader outside of Citrix.
I would replace Adobe Reader with Foxit Reader but my manager would rather we stick with Adobe Reader, rather than having to get every member of staff used to a different PDF reader (unfortunately the ribbon is completely different in Foxit and this WILL confuse some users).
We are running XenApp 7.6 across 6 servers (issues have been encountered on all 6) and the latest version of Adobe Reader XI.
Has anyone else encountered these issues? I've run out of ideas, as has our managed services provider and Citrix support have just been blaming either printer drivers or Adobe.
